ACC Docs is a robust document management platform designed to streamline the handling, editing, and organization of various file types, including PDFs, Office documents, CAD files, and Revit models.
With powerful tools for extracting data, adding markups, measurement and searching PDF content, ACC Docs simplifies complex workflows and boosts efficiency.
Advanced PDF Content Extraction
ACC Docs enables you to extract critical information from PDFs, automatically recognize and name files based on titleblock data, and save single or multi-page PDFs using customized naming conventions derived from extracted attributes.
Intelligent Hyperlinking
ACC Docs automatically identifies cross-references, section markers, and elevation markers within PDFs, creating clickable hyperlinks to corresponding views across documents.
To activate this feature:
- Select a folder, right-click or click the vertical ellipsis, and navigate to More > Automatic Hyperlinks Settings.
- Adjust the slider to enable hyperlinking.
- A blue halftone Markup over the callout indicates an active hyperlink.
- Hyperlinks can be copied, edited, or manually created to link to other documents, Forms, RFIs, or files within ACC Docs or Build.
Titleblock Data Extraction
Easily extract titleblock information with customizable templates:
- Navigate to Docs > Files > Settings > Attributes > Titleblock Templates.
- Click Create a Template and select a PDF with a known sheet size.
- Define the sheet size, sheet number, and sheet title by drawing over their respective locations in the titleblock.
- Add additional attributes as needed.
- Name and save the template.
- Repeat for different project contributors and Titleblock variations.
Content Extraction and Organization
To extract data from uploaded or saved PDFs:
- Right-click or select the vertical ellipsis on a PDF and choose Extract Pages and Attributes.
- Select a titleblock template or manually input sheet names and numbers. You can also manually set areas in the Sheet to extract the attributes from.
- Click the extract button.
- Attributes, such as Sheet titles and numbers will be added to the PDF.
- For multi-page PDFs, individual pages can be extracted into a chosen project folder with file names reflecting the extracted information.
Searchable PDF Content
ACC Docs makes vector-based PDFs fully searchable:
- Go to Docs > Files, click the search window, and ensure the Content checkbox is selected.
- Enter text to search within file names and PDF content.
- Click on the result to open the PDF at the page where the content first appears.
- Within the PDF Viewer, you can use the magnifying glass icon to search for more instances of the text inside a document.
