Using software such as Autodesk Revit to design and envision a construction project is one thing, but when you can see the real-world results of in person, the intense planning and detail really comes together. When Cadgroup partnered with Irwinconsult for the $150 million Palmerston Hospital in Darwin, we were able to show the results of effective communication, collaboration and design expertise.
In our case study of the Palmerston Hospital project, we spoke with Frank Arcuri, BIM Leader for Structural and Civil at Irwinconsult, about his experience with Autodesk A360 Collaboration for Revit (C4R) and Cadgroup.
A project at the scale of the Palmerston Hospital involves a lot of moving parts, with stakeholders across multiple departments all generating significant amounts of data. For Frank and his team, having a solution to smooth out the collaboration process was critical.
Cadgroup’s expertise with Autodesk A360 C4R and experience on a number of large-scale design projects made them an ideal fit to assist Irwinconsult in Darwin, delivering a solution that helped the project schedule stay on track. Setting up the software solution can be a challenging task, but with Cadgroup’s help, the team was able to get its work underway with ease.
Palmerston Hospital – due for completion in 2018 – is huge, but even as the project scales, Autodesk A360 C4R continues to deliver. Cadgroup has been there supporting Irwinconsult every step of the way, providing advice and software integration services.
“We needed something that collaborated much quicker,” says Frank. “Cadgroup delivered as soon as we asked the question.”
