Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) provides a range of open, cloud-based APIs that enable users to automate business workflows and integrate their existing or new third-party applications with ACC.
At Cadgroup, we’ve helped numerous customers achieve powerful automations and seamless integrations that make their operations more efficient, productive, and streamlined.
We’ve designed and built several automations within Autodesk Build that transform how customers manage their projects, inspections, assets, and documentation:
This automation connects Autodesk Build Issues with Forms. When a specific type of issue is created in Build, the automation triggers the creation of a related inspection or approval form.
The form is then assigned to the appropriate team or role for action, and once it’s submitted, the issue status updates based on the form’s input.
This automation streamlines issue tracking and documentation, making them fast, accurate, and paper-free. It helps project teams close the loop efficiently without relying on manual spreadsheets or disconnected records.

Cadgroup has also developed an automation that links Assets with Forms to help customers monitor and maintain their equipment, installations, and key project elements in real-time.
When new assets are registered in ACC or reach a specific lifecycle stage (such as inspection or maintenance due), the automation automatically creates inspection and approval forms related to those assets.
This provides customers with a comprehensive, real-time view of their asset health and history, ensuring that all records are stored digitally, traceable, and accessible through standardised workflows.

This automation saves submitted forms directly to ACC Docs and simultaneously uploads a copy to the customer’s SharePoint site, maintaining the same folder structure across both systems.
This gives customers the flexibility to share PDF copies of forms with internal or external stakeholders, even if they don’t have access to ACC, while ensuring document consistency across platforms.

These automations are not only efficient and autonomous but also help customers maintain a single source of truth, centralising all project and asset data in one place that can easily be shared across teams.
Cadgroup has successfully implemented integrations with Autodesk Construction Cloud Cost Management for the past several years, connecting it with leading ERP and accounting platforms, including Xero, Acumatica, and NetSuite.
These integrations enable customers to manage operational processes in ACC Cost Management, including projects, budgets, contracts, assets, and payments, while automatically syncing financial data into their ERP systems for review, reconciliation, and payment processing.
ACC customers can automatically sync vendors and customers between ACC and their ERP, ensuring consistent and up-to-date information across both systems

Project Managers (PMs) and Contract Administrators (CAs) can define project structures, budget codes, purchase orders, and variations in ACC. The integration then replicates this structure in the ERP system, maintaining a consistent project view.

Once projects are set up, PMs can create contracts (Purchase Orders or Subcontracts) and variations directly in ACC, which automatically flow into the ERP, ensuring both systems stay in sync.

PMs, CAs, or subcontractors can raise progress claims or expenses against contracts in ACC. Once approved, these are sent to the ERP accounting solution, along with attachments, for the finance team to review and process.
When payments are completed in the ERP, the integration updates the payment status back in ACC, ensuring both systems reflect accurate financial progress.

Through automation and integration, Cadgroup empowers builders to save time, reduce manual effort, and eliminate data silos.
By connecting Autodesk Construction Cloud with powerful business systems, builders can achieve streamlined processes, enhanced accuracy, and improved collaboration across teams, all without the need for additional resources.
At Cadgroup, our goal is simple: to help the construction industry build smarter, faster, and more connected through technology.
