The Autodesk Navisworks Fundamentals online training course covers the essential concepts and core workflows needed to work effectively with Navisworks software. You’ll learn how to use key tools to develop 4D construction simulations, create interactive animations, and produce photorealistic visualisations to support better project coordination and communication.
Topics covered include: Overview of main features and functionality in Navisworks Opening and appending 3D files of different formats and saving in the Navisworks format Creating links to object properties files and scheduling files in external databases Performing visual project model reviews using built-in review and reporting tools Creating construction simulations of a project model to check validity of construction schedules Use animator and scripter to create interactive animations for presentations and demonstrations Obtaining 2D and 3D take-off data from source models to create material estimates, measure areas, and count components Performing interference detection tests between 3D files of different disciplines to check the integrity of the design Adding true-to-life materials, lighting, and environments to project models to create photorealistic output
Prerequisites: Those attending will require prior experience and knowledge of 3D design and task-scheduling software. Experience with the Windows operating system is also needed.
Certification: Upon successful completion of the course and submission of a course evaluation, attendees will receive an official Autodesk certificate of completion. The evaluation must be completed within 30 days of finishing the course to qualify for certification.
